Tour Details

Day 1

Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - The Dades Valley

At 7:30 a.m., you leave Marrakech for Ouarzazate. Along the way, you'll cross the magnificent landscapes of the Atlas Mountains, passing through the incredible Tizi n'Tichka Pass, which peaks at 2,260 meters above sea level.

On the way, you'll pass the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a filming location for films such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. There, you'll have about two and a half hours to discover Morocco's most surprising fortified city and have lunch.

You'll continue your journey to Ouarzazate, where you'll have about an hour and a half to explore the Taourirt Kasbah. This ancient fortified palace is one of the most famous examples of traditional adobe architecture in the region and represents an important cultural and historical heritage. You'll follow the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura, and from there, cross the Valley of Roses to finally reach the Dades Valley, where you'll stay.

Day 2

Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast, you'll head to the stunning Todra Gorges for a walk and to admire the scenery.

You'll then travel to Merzouga, crossing the Palm Grove of Jorf (where the country's best dates are grown) and have lunch before arriving in Arfoud, a small village known for its fossil fragments.

Once in Merzouga, you'll leave your vehicle and head into the desert on camelback in search of the camp where you'll spend the night. While enjoying the silence of the Erg Chebbi desert, you will enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner.

Day 3

Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Tizi N'Tfrkhin - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

If there's one unforgettable experience in the Erg Chebbi desert, it's sunrise. After enjoying this unique moment, you'll have breakfast at the camp and begin the last day of the excursion.

You will then head back to Marrakech, passing through the Tafilalet Palm Grove and the village of Rissani (home of the Alauí dynasty). You will cross the Accacia raddiana plateaus and the stony desert to reach Alnif. Here, you'll take a road that crosses the Anti-Atlas mountain range, passing through Tizi N'Tfarkhin. You'll continue through the village of Tinghir and the Dades Valley.

You'll arrive in Klaat M'Gouna at noon, where you'll stop for lunch and a rest before continuing on the road to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains.

You'll return to your hotel or the airport around 8:30 p.m.
