Detailed Itinerary
Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Agdz – Zagora - M'hamid
Meet early at 7:30 a.m. Depart by 4×4 to M'hamid via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass.
Visit Tamdakhte and Ait Ben Haddou kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate for lunch.
Continue to Zagora, stopping in Agdz for panoramic Draa Valley views.
Follow the valley to Tanskhirt via the left bank track. Head to Zagora via the right bank.
Stop in Tamgroute to visit the Quranic library, underground kasbah, and pottery factory.
Arrive at M'hamid's bivouac. Settle in, enjoy dinner and campfire with Sahrawi folklore.
Spend the night in a nomad tent.
M'hamid to Sidi Naji (5-hour camel trek)
Breakfast and meeting with your team at 8 a.m.
Walk 2.5 hours through the Draa wadi to reach the palm grove for lunch.
After rest, walk another 2 hours through sand dunes to Sidi Naji.
Set up camp for the night in a tent.
Sidi Naji – Erg Ezahar (5-hour walk)
Depart from Sidi Naji. Walk about 2.5 hours to picnic area under tamarisk trees.
After lunch, walk 2 hours across the reg to the large dunes of Ezahar.
Set up camp for the night.
Erg Ezahar – Oued Draa – Erg Smar – Erg Sedraa (5-6 hours)
Depart from the large dunes of Ezahar in the morning.
Walk 2.5 hours to SMAR erg (old, sandy abandoned village) for picnic.
Continue walking to the small dunes of Erg Sedraa.
Set up camp for the night.
Erg Sedraa – Erg Chegaga (5 hours)
Depart from the small dunes to Rarity Algerzime wadi for lunch.
Walk another 2.5 hours to the large dunes of Erg Chegaga.
Arrive at sunset. Settle into our permanent bivouac.
Spend the night in a tent.
Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
Depart for Marrakech by 4×4 via dirt road between Chegaga Erg and Draa River.
Pass by Lake Iriqui (vast area of packed sand), then Foum Zguid.
Continue by road via Taznakht. Drive to Marrakech with photo stops.
Arrive at your hotel.

This trek is moderate in difficulty. You should be comfortable walking 5-6 hours daily in sandy terrain.
The pace is relaxed to allow acclimatization. No previous trekking experience is necessary.
A reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
Accommodation is in traditional desert bivouacs and nomad tents.
These are basic but comfortable, providing shelter from the elements.
You'll sleep on mattresses with blankets provided.
