Trek Itinerary
Marrakech to Toubkal Refuge
We begin with a 1.5-hour car transfer from Marrakech to Imlil. Here we meet our team of muleteers and our guide and begin the hike to the Toubkal Refuge. We'll have a picnic lunch before continuing the ascent along the mule track to the Toubkal Refuge (3,200 m). The hike lasts approximately 6 hours. We can stay in a dormitory at the refuge or in a campervan outside.

Summit Day & Return
We have an early breakfast around 5:00 a.m. to take advantage of the morning coolness and reach the summit of Mount Toubkal. The ascent is not particularly difficult, but it is demanding, with some climbing and loose scree, depending on your fitness level. The view from the summit is breathtaking: to the north, over the Marrakech plain and to the south, over the Sahara. We overlook many other peaks of the High Atlas and the village of Imlil. After a snack and photos at the summit, we continue our journey to the refuge, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, we slowly descend back to Imlil. The descent is not difficult, but it is long. We arrive in Imlil in the late afternoon. Then, drive to Marrakech if you have not booked an extra night in Imlil.
After your trek, consider relaxing at one of the best Morocco resorts for a relaxing getaway.
